The Port of Kapellskar is a busy ferry terminal that handles in excess of one million annual passengers and a huge amount of cargo. The port offers the shortest ferry crossing to southern Finland from Sweden and is well linked to the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
Viking Line operates two routes; one of which goes to Mariehamn on the island of Aland year-round, and the other direct to Turku in mainland Finland, throughout the summer period only.
